Remember this beautiful couple from their engagement pictures and her bridal pictures? I realized that I never posted anything from their wedding day. Here are a few of my favorites.

This bride and her mother spent a lot of time on the beautiful details at this wedding. I especially loved the medallions tied to the bouquet that were stamped with the initials of the bride and groom and the wedding date. After the wedding the bride put them on a chain to wear as a necklace.

The bride also has some pretty funny younger brothers who wanted to "pay tribute" to their older sister with an imitation of one of the favorite shots from her bridal session.

Saturday Morning

In April to visit some family in Idaho. We had a great time and my daughter loved playing with her cousins. One night we stayed over at my sister's house and in the morning the sun was shining, the kids were all happy with legos, books, video games, trains, and breakfast. The lighting in my sister's kitchen was beautiful, so I pulled out my camera and started snapping pictures of her youngest as he ate his breakfast. Soon the 3 year old wanted in on the party, then the 7 year old. All the kids were in pajamas with hair ruffed from their pillows, but they were bright eyed and happy. Twenty minutes later I had shots of all the kids and they barely noticed the interruption.
Do we really need to stress over matching outfits, perfectly parted hair, and perma-smiles? I don't think so. Sometimes it's nice to see kids just being themselves.

I'm amazed that most of my favorite images from this session involved kissing! I took these photos in Colorado in January...There was beautiful snow cover and these two trudged around without coats or boots! And my very favorite image from the session is, of course, a silhouette. My husband says the romantic silhouette is becoming my trademark. I can't get enough of it!

Congratulations to Christopher and Jocelyn! I wish you a long and happy life together.

This beautiful couple will be having a spring wedding in Arizona. I'm sad I won't be there to cover the wedding, too, since my husband was offered a job in Florida. I'll share more info about that soon, but for now enjoy some lovely pictures from the session.

I had a great extended family shoot at the beginning of December in Scottsdale. There were 39 people there--I didn't even count the individual families. We had very limited time for a group that size so we had to work quickly and concentrate on traditional group and couple pictures. It was so fun to see the matriarch of the family with her 13 great-grandchildren!

My husband and I have known Steve for about 9 years now and we instantly liked Sara when we met her. So, of course we were thrilled when we found out they are engaged! I got even more excited when they asked me to take their pictures. Yes, I may have even done a little dance. Their engagement will be pretty short so we planned for pictures right away. This was a really fun shoot because McKenzie and David were constantly laughing and having a good time. We visited two great locations in the East Valley and caught the sunset for some romantic silhouette photographs. Don't they make a gorgeous couple?

Even though Kayla and Blain have been married for a couple of months, they wanted to go take some pictures together at the summer camp where they met and fell in love. (They were counselors there, not campers.) There was lots of beautiful scenery and I got to try out some fun techniques.

Twins Turn One

My Best Friend's twins turned one and they celebrated with some family pictures on the farm.The little boy got pretty sick the next day but you wouldn't be able to tell it from how he was smiling for the camera!

Princesses in Disneyland

I got to photograph these beautiful babies in the middle of Disneyland! And they were turning heads like you wouldn't believe! We were lucky to find a patch of grass with decent background and a fence low enough that it was really more like a decorative accent than a barrier that told us to keep off the grass. So the girls and smiled and twirled and cried. We had a blast until we were asked to remove the children from the grass...

When you book a session with me, I will get to know you a little bit and find out what kind of look you’re after. I’m happy to consult with you about locations and outfits. We’ll meet for our session and have a good time. After the session, you can expect to have your images completed in about 2-3 weeks. Editing may be rushed for a small fee. All sessions include 1 disc* of edited images for personal use. Though not required, you may order professional prints through me. Professional prints allow for precise color and cropping and result in a higher quality, longer lasting image. Package and a la carte price list available upon request.

I picked up my first SLR camera over 15 years ago and promptly fell in love with photography. Though I have a love in my heart for film photography, I switched from film to digital in 2008. I love having the instant view of each picture and complete control over processing each image. My style tends toward traditional but I love catching real emotion when my subjects forget I'm there. I am currently living in Broward County, Florida where I wear many hats as a wife, mother, teacher, baby-sitter, Registered Dietitian, chef, and, of course, photographer.
